I feel like people keep imagining we'll have this concrete, bang-the-gavel moment of "Aha! [x] was the true villain all along!" instead of the messier, more human answer which is that two toxic people got into a relationship, both did and said things that were awful and harmful, and we're never going to have a 100% good person, 100% bad person revelation.

But these endless court battles seem pointless. Surely they're both going to go broke at this point.

Yeah, in the end I lean much more heavily toward Depp being the instigator for much of what happened. I also side-eye every single one of his exes who gleefully stood up and said, "It never happened to me, therefore it's impossible."

Like just once educate yourself about the nature of abuse.

This is exactly how my narcissistic, sociopathic, abusive ex would act as well. Especially when drunk. How she sounds is EXACTLY how I used to sound. It is terrifyingly scary how exact this is and how much I believe Amber.

He discovered me filming too and started destroying my things/filming me back saying he'd caught me and and no one would ever believe me.

So triggering. Looking back now, my life now (despite being 33 and 'bitterly alone') is filled with so much kindness and love and happiness in comparison. How he is acting now, and how malevolent he is to her in getting his revenge, is exactly how an abusive partner/spouse would act. Mine still follows me around online even though it's been ALMOST A DECADE since we broke up.
