Frenchman Benoit Paire tested positive for COVID-19, and was withdrawn from the tournament. The tournament director says extensive contact tracing was then executed and all protocols were followed. Some French players have apparently been given protocols to follow yet somehow no other players have been withdrawn from competition...

Meanwhile, Paire himself is on instagram calling the US Open a "fake bubble."

At the moment he's doing well and doesn't have any symptoms. He hesitates to tell us what's really going on in this FAKE BUBBLE.

The US Open kicked off today with the finals scheduled for September 13th.
