God, I never thought I'd see the day I'd be doing these again. Good and bad thing.
The very very very VERY delayed 'The New Mutants' finally hit theaters this weekend, and already brought in $750,000 from Thursday night previews. It's expected to make roundabouts $7m-$10m this weekend from 2,412 locations (remember that major hubs like NYC and LA still are shut down). It had an initial $80 million budget but God knows how much that's increased with endless reshoots.
Also out in theaters is 'Bill & Ted Face the Music' but no numbers released there since I guess it's a VOD/theater release?
Gentle reminder to think twice before heading back to the movies, no matter how many safety protocols are in place.
