I mean, Zendaya recently talked about needing/starting therapy because of all of the shit that happened to her growing up in the industry. Bella's home life sucked so she never stood a chance but it's hard for even the best parents to protect their kid 24/7. Child acting really shouldn't be a thing.

I did not know that about Zendaya :(

But for the most part Zendaya at least had supportive parents who looked out for her the best they could.

Bella had zero of that.

I will never forget the ONTD post about those 2 at some beach appearance where zendaya was wearing an age appropriate swimsuit and Bella’s was way too adult and not appropriate at all for a 13 year old at a Disney event.

This isn’t a judgment on Bella because she was a child but it just made you wonder what her guardians were thinking.

Bella mentions that she grew poor and that she originally started working as a child actress to help support her family. So we can probably determine why they might have been a lack of care and concern for her.

Not saying she's a liar, but poor people rarely have the extra income to invest in their kids in the industry. You have to pay for agents, managers, auditions, outfits, acting coaches etc...

Bella was raped for years in her mom’s home (mom claims she didn’t know), her mom stole almost all of her money to the point that she was broke. She lived with her older sister who is also a hot mess for a long time, I think she’s close (ish?) with her mom again and it’s really sad to me but at the same time my dad was abusive (not “my daughter is being raped and I’m gonna cover it up” abusive, but “bipolar episode where I wave a gun around and threaten to kill myself while my 14 year old daughter fights me for said gun and my 11 year old (me) sobs” abusive which is still p bad 🙃) and I didn’t learn to truly hate him until some time after he died, so I get it. She’ll probably always want her mom’s love and approval above everything else, and if they can heal that relationship now good for them. But yeah it’s been pretty obvious from the start that Bella didn’t have a real adult in her life once her dad died, and in an industry like that even kids with the best parents get eaten up.
