I was a surprise hit hitting number 2 on the hot 100,the highest they reached on that chart.The band donated the proceeds of the song to help refugees of the Kosvo war. 10 million was donated. Jennifer Lopez"If you had my love" was number one.

-Parton topped the country charts with her song in 1974 and again in 1982 when she sang it in the film " The Best Little Wh**ehouse in Texas ", which she starred. Houston originally was to sing "What becomes of the broken hearted" but that song was being used for "Fried Green Tomatoes". Kevin Costner suggested the Linda Ronstadt version of "IWALY " Parton asked that the last verse of the song to be included as Rondstates version had omitted it. The song stayed at number one for 14 weeks.
