- In today news you weren't expecting... After 15 years, Christopher Eccleston is coming back to Doctor Who for 12 brand new episodes. “After 15 years it will be exciting to revisit the Ninth Doctor’s world, bringing back to life a character I love playing,” Eccleston said in a press release.
- A bit of a catch tho... they're only audio dramas (i'll take what i can get tho) to start airing in May 2021.
- Eccleston left the show at the end of Season 1 due to bad relationships with the EP and the way he run things, and was pretty vocal about never playing the role again, so this is a big surprise for fans.
- Also, a lot of people are taking this as him making peace with the DW team, and a sign that he could return for 2023's 60 Anniversary Special.
