NETFLIX PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT - SPECIAL FEATURE - Jurassic Park
Hold on to your butts, ONTD! This is an announcement post for this weekend's NETFLIX PARTY. We will have a special feature presentation based on the fact that I was into dinosaurs as a child in a BIG way. The Land Before Time was on repeat in my house & I seriously thought paleontology was my true calling - but they only offered veterinarian on those job placement tests. Also....Women in STEM representation, we love to see it! *I am not a computer nerd. I prefer to be called a hacker!*

Over the last 19 weeks (We're coming up on 5 MONTHS, what is time), several ONTDers & I have watched the following films together using the Chrome extension Netflix Party, where we used the built-in chat feature to discuss together....from a safe social distance:

In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.
1) Using Chrome Browser, Click here & click on the "Install Netflix Party" button. Once you are redirected to the Chrome Web Store, click "Add to Chrome" to finish installing Netflix Party.
2) On movie night, the host ONTDer will open a video in Netflix to watch and start playing the video. If selected, the host will have full playback controls (YMMV).
3) To create a party, the host will click on the red "NP" icon located next to the address bar. Then click "Start Party" to get the party started, and share the party URL in an ONTD post to invite everyone to join!
4) To join a party click on the party URL, which will redirect to Netflix's website. You must have your own Neflix account log-in. Then click on the "NP" button next to the address bar, and you should automatically join the party.
What have you been watching this week, ONTD? Favorite JP Franchise installment? I'm a classic original fan, but I've developed a taste for the new ones because my children owned them on DVD first & watched them so often. Also, I support fellow redheads first & always so Bryce Dallas Howard <3, and none for Chris Pratt.
Favorite dinosaur? Mine was always the Stegosaurus when I was little, probably because they had their own song. Dilophosaurus truly is THAT bitch & Velociraptors are really cool when you see what they probably actually looked like, covered in feathers!
