Beyoncé's Visual Album "Black is King" Release and Black Joy Discussion Post
Click to viewHey, cultural touchstone and Billboard conquerer Beyonce has released another visual album, BLACK IS KING for Disney+. The 85 minute film showcases a project that has been a year in the making featuring songs from The Gift. Directed by Beyoncé, Emmanuel Adjei, Ibra Ake, Kwasi Fordjour and more to be "a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience".
The album also features African artists such as Yemi Alade, Tierra Whack, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Blue Ivy, and her spouse. There's also wonderful appearances from Kelly Rowland, Lupita Nyong'o, Naomi Campbell, and more! The album is dedicated a toddler more accomplished than OP - her son Sir Carter. (Rumi said, "let me catch this fool out on the private playground").
