why does she have this uncanny ability to make everything feel like a popularity contest

yeah i feel like this album would have been a prime opportunity to just release the album and let it stand on its own, instead of pulling this kind of promotional stunt

yes! that's the word. "stunt." she's always pulling a weird popularity-gauging stunt. every time i think i might like her a lil bit, she does it. it's so uncomfortable.

I seriously wish she had.

She has a very strong need for validation.

i wonder if she gets, like, super excited about doing these things and thinks it'll look friendly while also filling that need, and then has a decision hangover the next morning??? i can't imagine mailing a bunch of random celebrities a cardigan panning out any other way.

She's emotionally still stuck in high school.

for real?! (googles lyrics)
it seems like a curse to be able to remember high school THAT vividly.

She would’ve been the girl passing out the $5 boxes of valentines chocolate to her 20 closest friends, saying “I wish I could give them to everyone!”

Didn’t she even mention this in her documentary? That she always looked for validation and that she hated it when people don’t like her. Clearly she never got above that lol

i did see the documentary bc i loveee music docs but i misunderstood her. i thought when she talked about the high school insecurity, it meant she had the sef-awareness to not feed into it. apparently not.

she did and she was right, it's very typical of everyone I've known who is an entertainer, they're seriously insecure people

that's what happens when you're mentally and emotionally stuck in high school at 30.

She really does and the somehow whatever she does just looks lame to me. Like I would be embarrassed saying I like her music or I bought a Taylor Swift cardigan.
