ugh I think I just had super high expectations. The incoming reviews were great and one article said it was the best sci fi finale in years or some shit. It wasn't by all any means terrible... just anticlimactic :(
Yea, season 3 is a convoluted mess. I was really annoyed, but I stuck with it, and it paid off imo. It gets better after like the 5-6 episode. Things really start coming together, and makes more sense. The ending was really nice as well.
I don’t tbink it was a convoluted mess but like all the information we are served from the start until episode 7 season 3 turns out to be completely useless in the grand scheme of things and I was mad they even decided to introduce it lol
Yea, I agree in a way. I was really frustrated with it. That's why I took a two day break in between, right around then actually. I just needed to regroup, and research some things. At that point, I didn't even care if I read some spoilers. I just needed more information on the family trees. That helped. Then I was more ready to finish it.
I think the reason season 3 felt so off was because ...
[long spoiler feelings]they barely mentioned any of the new information as something that could be tied back with something from the previous seasons. It was just thrown in your face brand new information and you just had to roll with it when before you had that 'ah ha!' moment when things were revealed. Perfect example is Tannhaus having a family in the original world that died and started this whole mess. The whole reveal would have been more impactful if we had Charlotte in the previous season mention things like "He said he always wanted a family, I guess that's why he adopted me" or something that ties back. We saw what people were willing to do in order to save their children (Claudia and Regina, Ulrich and Mikel), but it was never with Tannhaus
( ... )
I was going through it watching the last season of dark 😭. I only enjoyed one or two eps and everything else was just STRESSS and disappointing 😭
