Season 1 of Veronica Mars was pure genius, not just by teen drama but any drama standards. That moment when you see it’s Aaron Echolls who is having sex with Lily and the chilling music and then Veronica saying “I know what happened” ahhh. The plot was so good and it was so unexpected that it was Aaron but at the same time it made complete sense.

we got greedy and asked for another season and look how that turned out for us fans.

I always maintain that S1 of VM is a perfect season of television.

That might be my favorite tv reveal of all time. He wasnt introduced right away and as a father he was known for barely around. I think he maybe mentioned lily once so you never got the sense they even knew each other than just in passing.

Mine too. I think it was so clever that they dropped hints like how Aaron had a history of cheating and violent behaviour and how he would’ve known Lily through Logan but none of it was heavy handed. And how the Kane family was trying to cover for Duncan, that whole arc was really compelling too, usually the “red flag” ends up being really boring and predictable and unrelated to the story but here it added more depth.

Yes, it was all downhill from there. It really only had the one mystery in it.

VMars, as much as I loved it, was kind of a bad show after the first season.
