Oliver on the OC was frustrating because I remember he made Ryan look so crazy even though he was right

I loved when sandy trusted Ryan and was like “I’ll drive” instead of just brushing him off

yeah he was. he did end up getting arrested for it in early season 4 thanks to seth and sandy.

ahh it's coming back to me now. you're right. thanks to episode 4x01 when ryan was boxing and looking for volchok I discovered placebo's version of running up that hill.

I haven't watched the OC in years, but I feel like Sandy & Kirsten were pretty good parents overall, especially as far as television ones go.

They're my favorite TV parents. Second is Coach and Tammy Taylor from Friday Night Lights.

ia, they're my favs. i like that they weren't 100% perfect but you could tell just how much they loved their kids. i loved how much they grew over the series too - being able to see both of them do careers they were more passionate about, and that even though they had a few rough patches, they never actually broke up.

Kirsten really went from a pearl-clutching Trump supporter before her time to a woke queen. We love character development!

I've been slowly rewatching (season 1 is so damn long) and honestly I think I'm there more for the parents than I am the kids.

the parent/ "adult" storylines on the oc are sooo good upon rewatch. season one is seriously a perfect show imo

mte, it was so frustrating as a viewer. especially with the whole natalie thing. it felt like it took forever for them to figure out she wasn't real.
