that's every turkish TV show for you lol

There's a show called Arka Sokaklar, which has a running time of 180 minutes and currently has 549 episodes. It is still ongoing.

Will literally last you a life time, and possibly your children and grandchildren as well. A true epic you can pass onto generation from generation.

Oh hell no.
I am VERY impressed with Turkish attention spans though. Is their adderall in the water?

turkish soap operas are primarily designed for elderly folks with nothing else to do. my mom has been addicted to these shows to the point where she watches them without the subtitles and still manages to understand and follow every single plot.

I love your mom for this. I imagine they’re very dramatic & expressive with their acting a la 80s soaps and telenovelas.

lmao i just watched an episode where there was an attempted assasination on four people--one was thought to be poisoned but it turned out she was just pregnant and having morning sickness. a second was also poisoned by just so happened to be saved by a princess who knew how to make activated charcoal out of water and fireplace remnants. a third was shot literally in the chest by an arrow but was wearing armor. and the fourth was literally about to be strangled but asked if he could pay his assistants and they just....let him go lmfao
