I think he has had periods of exhibiting the behavior that would require at least an emergency guardianship but no one around him cares enough. I think Britney's family/dad have been shady but initially she was a primary custodial parent of two little kids and I think there was an outside motivation to help for that reason. Kanye is making money, getting attention, and an ~artist~ so the Kardashians don't give a fuck and it seems like his previous friends and collaborators have distanced themselves over the years so idk who is left to step up and really address his problems in a productive way (or request at least an emergency guardianship when he has been in a manic state).

Look, Kanye has done and said stupid shit but having the Kardashians manage his money would be the entire end of him. There is no fucking way Kris wouldn’t find a way to benefit her family.

There were concerned for the safety of the children and KFed wasn't living with her at the time the way Kim is with Kanye. That's one difference.
