Mariah Carey sets September 29 release date for memoir 'The Meaning of Mariah Carey'
Lambs rejoice! Mariah Carey has confirmed that her long-gestating memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, will be released on September 29. Written with "image activist" Michaela Angela Davis, the Elusive Chanteuse has promised to share "the moments-the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams, that contributed to the person I am today."
"This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs," Carey wrote in a message shared on social media Wednesday. "I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side."
The Meaning of Mariah Carey, which will also be released as an audiobook read by Mimi herself, is available for pre-order now.
