i'm frustrated that i really like that house. the interior design is kinda boring imo but not offensive or bad, just a matter of opinion

an elevator at home would be great for grocery trips and loads of laundry I guess but the rest of the time I would just feel completely ridiculous knowing it was there

I think it’d be the ultimate convenience item (duh!) but so awesome to have for those rare times. I think of when my dog had surgery or when he hurt his back. Steps weren’t supposed to happen. Well, he’s a 70 pound dog and I live on the second floor. I couldn’t carry him up the stairs so they happened. Or for when you’re sick/recuperating youself. Once again, nothing you’d use a lot but be a lifesaver when you needed if.
I also wonder if they have a handicapped relative that it seemed like a luxury they could justify.

That would be the main reason I would love to have an elevator. My mom has multiple sclerosis and as it progressed my mom could not walk which meant she couldn't walk up the stairs anymore so she had to move downstairs into the front room. Having an elevator/or no stairs would be my main requirement in a home (if I had the money obviously).

I lived with my grandparents growing up so I always look at things like that as important if you want to age in your home (aka not move to a retirement facility), stairs are a bitch at 80+!
