June 24, 2020 -To be produced by Gaumont, a French production company who've produced Netflix' Narcos and F is for Family. Though their UK unit will take the lead.
-Planned as a 6-part miniseries
-To be based on the original 1910 book rather than Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical
-The story is about a masked madman terrorizing the Paris Opera House, particularly young opera singer Christine Daae
-Writer Anthony Horowitz (Alex Rider/Midsomer Murders/James Bond/Foyle's War/Poirot) is attached. Though maybe Deadline should check its sources since this was news to Horowitz
Who told you that? I'm not sure I am working on it any more.
