Damn, I’d say Steve Carell has become the next Adam Sandler, but even Adam Sandler has Uncut Gems.

It was so frenetic and his character was so obnoxious, I kept watching because I'd heard such good things about the film but it just did my head in.

I fucking HAAATTTEED Uncut Gems for that reason - like I don't give a shit what happens to him, he's super uninteresting, I'm not interested in his journey like that young girl who worships him for some goddamn reason I can't fathom

Uncut Gems is a very demanding and disorienting movie IMO. One's enjoyment of it has a lot to with a tolerance for Adam Sandler yelling, basketball, and gambling. I don't care for any of these things but I enjoyed Kevin Garnett's performance.
