- Mulroney announced that he was voluntarily stepping down as co-host of eTalk after 18 years and hoped that he would be replaced by a person of colour
- He will be keeping his position as co-host of Your Morning, CTV's morning talk show
- This comes after Mulroney's wife, shoe heiress and stylist Jessica Mulroney was revealed to have threatened a black Toronto influencer who encouraged white influencers to speak out about Black Lives Matter
- In the fall out Jessica lost many of her contracts with TV and fashion outlets
- Jessica also announced this weekend that she was stepping down from the Shoebox Project, a charity she co-founded which donates shoeboxes full of essentials to underpriviledged women
- His eTalk co-host Lainey also wrote a piece about how influential the Mulroneys are in media circles and how they have a hit list of people who crossed them during Jessica's fall from grace
