What the hell are these promos with the daft punching sound effects.

I haven't been watching this season, may wait to see what the general consensus is at the end before bothering.

The attitudes of the writers and showrunner to Bob Morley who plays Bellamy is concerning, especially with him being a fan favourite and many believe the showrunner has sidelined him like they did Ricky Whittle. With them both being MOC too.

The bosses deserve no mercy for being assholes, but let's be real... jumping this ship is prob an improvement for both actors no matter what. I know American Gods got to be an internal shitfest but at least it gave Ricky a lot of new recognition and grew his fanbase in the scifi world

I'm annoyed that Bob didn't jump ship earlier tbh, I think he lost out on a few opportunities due to the long shoot schedule and although it's probably a comfort to have had that steady gig, it won't do him favours in the long run.

Lets hope he finds something good once the industry starts up again.

I've mostly just seen speculating on Reddit about Bob and his lack of screen time so far in this season. Before the season started, I was kind of like 'meh', but now it's three episodes and he was in for like...a few minutes at most? Plus some of the things he has said on twitter. It's sad but intriguing. Last year they were supportive of him directing and now he's been sidelined and ignored. WTF happened?

Yeah I've been reading alot about it on twitter (and tumblr) too as I'm not really in the fandom. I only started watching the show back in the day because of Bob (for shallow reasons) and it was odd that he wasn't on promo or posters for the most recent series despite being the male lead.

The fact that people were continually asking about where he was on twitter to writers and the official accounts was met with silence and then the quote from the showrunner about it being because Bob wanted time off was suspicious. I work in the industry and it definitely seemed like a line pre-agreed with the show and Bob's agents so that neither look bad (as Bob is still under contract). I think Bob was more vocal about posting promo and encouraging people to watch in the last seasons but has it really just been the one tweet for this one?

I don't know why I was so interested and went down the rabbithole, but it's a shame with him being a MOC and the lead of the show to be overlooked so much.

Not to mention he's given a lot of himself to the show. I know he gets paid for it, but at the same time, it can be really hurtful if that feels thrown in your face.

I’m pretty sure Bob Morley took time off at his own request because of mental health issues? Not sticking up for him. I don’t care for Jason Rothenberg and haven’t been a fan of Bob since his ex gf all but said he cheated on her with Eliza. But I know he’s struggled with depression a lot so it’s the only thing I’ve ever believed coming out of Jason’s mouth.

I think the thing that sparks people's confusion is that Bob hasn't been included in a lot of the promo. He was barely in the season trailer, he wasn't on the poster (which included Clarke/Eliza, and I believe three others), and also he wasn't included in any of the countdown photos. I don't want to get tin hatty, but it is a little puzzling that he would be so limited from their promotion material when he's been one of those biggest, most popular characters and people from the show over the past six seasons. I'm not in one camp or another, but do think it is odd.

A friend in a group chat suggested that perhaps all the countdown photos were taken in the same day, and if he wasn’t there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he dies this season, but I thought that before all of this.
