You could've just said that? Plenty of people said that and didn't get dragged lmao plus you let your fans harass black people who called you out over needing a white border on the black square. I'm SO tired of white women in this era. At least some of the Karens are going out and using that energy on police, what are Beckys doing?

I feel like there was good intention behind folks posting the black box, but a lot of my white friends throughout the day ended up deleting them once they realized that wasn't the point *and posted resources or other things to support BLM. And that's what Emma or her PR team should have done once they saw the backlash.

seeing people change their profile pics from the black square or just delete their posts in real time was... something. most people/companies went immediately back to posting dumb content as usual last night.

I called that black square thing out and one of my best friends is furious at me, saying that instead of judging I should've asked her why she posted it.

And I'm like "sis, it was a campaign started by influencers that's affecting the movement more than benefitting, it wasn't targeted at you directly". But if the shoe fits...

Sis needs to reflect on why she takes criticism so personally. The whole goddamn point is that white and non black ppl have either done nothing or done the BAREST of minimums so far. When you have a chance to use the criticism to do better, why do ppl instead choose to get defensive????

i'm really liking celebrities who thought they were doing something realizing people won't pat them on the back anymore. i mean for a so called activist to just NOW realize she benefits from a racist system is a bit... let's just say she didn't really try to understand topics that weren't about her lol
