In the area I'm in rn the youth are ALL cool with white people saying the n-word. Most of them are mixed. If I tell people don't say that shit around me they're like "It just means friend now, cmon." They're completely serious and usually very close and comfortable with the few black ppl around. It's a mindfuck but the one I work with did stop.
