i watched the first half of S1 and couldn't get into it. i may try again because of how many people rave about it but idk. i wanted to like it but it just wasn't that funny to me.
Same, I sat through four or five episodes and it just did nothing for me. Which is fine, and I don’t care if people like what they like, but I have people constantly going on and on at me to give it another go. People who are obsessed with a TV show are like parents of babies - they won’t get that not everyone is as enamoured with the thing they adore.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Schitt's Creek were really funny but it wound up just becoming this heartwarming hug fest type show and lost all its bite. I enjoyed it more when the family were oddball outsiders in a weird town instead of integrated members of the community.
I wish I could get into that show more :( I started the first season and got pretty far, but I just didn't love it like I'd expected to. I keep trying subsequent episodes here and there, but it's still not doing it for me. It's a bummer because it seems like something I should like and I LOVE Catherine O'Hara. Maybe I'll keep trying
I watched the first episode of Schitt's Creek years ago and didn't care for it, but picked it back up during quarantine and enjoyed the first season. But now I'm on the second season and it isn't doing it for me
I'm realizing that I really dislike comedies that are centered around constant frustration. I think I really just need the mayor in that show to just fucking die because every scene with him in it is just intensely uncomfortable and unfunny
