According to army, through rapping "I got a big house big car big ring, bring anything over, I’ll give it to you with my black card," Yoongi was simultaneously critiquing white supremacy, anti-Korean racism, internet hiveminds, and dictatorships. Damn, he really is a genius. /s ( ... )

Even my boy Seokjin, who has never really had any scandals, showed his ass recently when he basically implied being famous is worse than being homeless lmao I'm just so disappointed in them all, fame really does change people, huh?

I read this as he envies they (his friends) still have privacy and personal freedom?

I definitely think that's how he meant it, it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth that he thinks those two issues are remotely on the same level at all lol. But he has one of the most affluent family backgrounds of anyone in BTS so I'm not surprised he lacks perspective on how dismissive that sounds.

Have those speculations about his family ever been confirmed?

I enjoy a lot of fandom vids and memes, but I hate when they try to have it both ways with the guys. So are they class-conscious humble kings with humble beginnings or are they rich kings with CEO dads and Miss Korea moms who’ll buy millionaire dollar apartments with cash? So annoying. Just let them be the escapism they are.

There are mixtures of truth and fanfic, that's what I've been able to glean over the years. The fanfic is that his dad is CEO of Samsung (lmao) and his mom was a Miss Korea (lmao x2). The truth is that many signs point to him having a very white collar background - studying overseas in Australia, the members referencing how he would buy them food and pamper them when everyone else was broke back in trainee days, him going to a private all boy's school etc. Seems like he's from a typical upper class family but not one of any particular notoriety ( ... )

Those handwritten apologies at least seemed appeared. All Big Hit did was make a half assed apology and admitted he was there. And here’s Jaehyun who took the brunt of it with Eunwoo. Jungkook just hit behind his company. It bugged me so bad when it happened.

And roaches is apparently a derogatory term for foreigners... nagl yoongi.

I read a comment earlier about them taking the speech is watering down his art and I... the way they invalidated peoples feelings, a majority of those people being black army was disgusting. If they had a different opinion, fine, but the way they treat people in their own fandom is disgusting.
