Denzel Washington saw a commotion in West Hollywood with cops and an unarmed distressed homeless man. He got out of his car and served as a barrier between the man and the police - helping to diffuse a tense situation. This man was arrested safely.🌎❤️ pic.twitter.com/4UyYdX1vT6

On Tuesday, Denzel noticed a commotion in West Hollywood between a distressed homeless man and some LAPD cops. He got out of his car and tried to diffuse the situation while creating a barrier between the homeless man and the cops. He then got the man some food to calm him down. The man was still arrested but without major incidence.

EDIT: I’ve received a few comments saying the retelling above is inaccurate. The man was apparently standing in the middle of the road seemingly distressed and Denzel got out of his car to escort him off the road and stayed with him/comforted him until the police arrived. He was then detained and later released.

Class problems aside, what Denzel did was incredibly powerful given what could have happened had he not intervened.
