I will never understand the love for Ann/Rashida. She was such a boring character and Rashida has no charisma at all. I think they even made a joke in one episode about how she always looked miserable.

Yeah I didn’t really even notice when she was gone lol. I did like her and Leslie’s friendship, but I didn’t really care about Ann as a character

the first time i noticed it was during the halloween party andy and april have at their house where ron was teaching ann how to do home maintenance stuff

eh i feel like that's different since ron even said leslie specifically is not his type ("you're blonde, you work for the government, you never stop talking") and i wouldn't call ron and ann friends, just friendl-y due to their association with leslie but dassit.

that's why ia with the op that it was something that was being teased by the writers but that they thought better of in the end. like they apparently were planning on having leslie and jean-ralphio also hook up at some point but thankfully that never happened.
