personally I voted for Stranger Things in the first category. The first couple seasons of GOT were legitimately good imo & worth the hype but I always have thought ST was pretty over-hyped for what it was. Like I liked the first season a lot and mostly liked season 2 but I definitely didn't think it was as good as everyone made it out to be.

I love Stranger Things but I also grew up in the 80s, so it's a huge nostalgia trip. My husband and I compare it to Happy Days for Boomers.

I like Stranger Things, but it can't balance its characters to save its life and it just keeps adding more. Game of Thrones at least managed to do something with most of its characters, even if the things it did sucked.
