sucks lovebirds won't get to be in a theatre >:( i'm kind of waiting for the reviews but i'm all about more romance, esp starring poc, give it 2 me
i mean i hate bad romance moves/comedies but when they're good they really hit, which is why we need more than one a year so we can get better quality odds. i know netflix has been putting out a lot but it's pretty toothless stuff imo

other movie news: mubi now has a "library"!!!!!!!!!! https://mubi.com/library
ie a big ass selection that doesn't drop off the face of the earth after a month. god finally, i'm doing a free trial but for this i might pay.

the last film i saw wasn't some georgian neo realist mubi movie though, it was Blinded by the light and I really loved it and found it tremendously moving. i cried so much? it just really captured what it's like to find salvation in music as a teen. and it introduced me to this tremendous because the night recording. i knew he wrote it but i had no idea he'd done his own version

Oh man, I loved Blinded by the Light (and also cried so much)!! I've always loved Bruce, and escapism into music as a theme is so relatable. I hate that it flopped. :/

THE PICTURES AT THE END ;____________________;

the public has no taste as usual, but i'll give that it wasn't an easy one to market. it felt a lot like a film from the late 80s/early 90s golden age of diverse british drama before everyone got posh and boring, not helped at all by actually being set in the 80s. literally my favourite era of filmmaking tho
