Fans of Killing Eve have begun to grow frustrated over the show, official social media and fandom seemingly phasing out the star of the series, Sandra Oh. It was also noted costar Jodie Comer got an award-bait episode all to herself and the official social media opted to promote Villanelle and Jodie Comer over Sandra and Eve (for example, the official social media did not post Sandra Oh's Elle Canada interview/photoshoot or her other promotions until fans harrassed them about it). Fans even provided stats to show Sandra Oh's exclusion wasn't all in their heads.
Parts of fandom have tried to tell the folks complaining that Villanelle is simply more popular than Sandra Oh, which was promptly disproven. There's been no word from the people behind Killing Eve of the turmoil, and fans are hoping for more Eve in the final two episodes.

#KillingEve i have mixed emotions, I love Jodie Comer/Villanelle but The show is called Killing EVE and it’s the first show where Sandra Oh is the lead and slowly she’s being pushed into the background.

the way killing eve wouldn't have gotten that much promo in season 1 if it wasnt for sandra oh's status + greys anatomy ... and now shes being sidelined as if shes not the lead by both the fans + writers just doesnt sit right with me. shonda rhimes would never.

Weird how once Sandra Oh got a ton of buzz and critical acclaim and a literal emmy from killing eve, her screentime, character development, and importance on the show killing EVE where she plays the titular character EVE suddenly declined hmm qwhite interesting
