this is only tangentially related to quibi, but ppl keep saying not being able to take screenshots is a death wish for the service....but i cant take screenshots on netflix either? is it just me?

i think it's for copyright reasons, to make sure that no one screen records and then upload on another site. though that doesn't stop torrenters lol

Well at least with Netflix, if you're watching it on a tv or laptop you can take a photo of the screen with your phone. You can't do that with Quibi unless you have a second phone with you.

you can screencap/crop Netflix on your laptop so it takes more than the 2 seconds on a phone but at least it's not impossible for sure

probably cos quibi sounds more of a tiktok app, even though they produce content, so it makes it even more puzzling why you cannot easily share

You can definitely take screenshots on netflix.

you can't on mobile anymore (used to be able to) but on laptops/desktops you can no problem
