Amazon’s new sci-fi comedy “Upload,” has already been renewed for a second season, one week after it premiered. The show is from creator Greg Daniels (“The Office” and “Parks and Recreation”).
“Upload” takes place in 2033, where people can be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell) is rushed to the hospital following a car “accident” and has to quickly decide his fate. After a rushed decision with his girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards), he chooses to be uploaded to her family’s luxurious virtual afterlife, the Horizen company’s “Lakeview.”
Once uploaded, Nathan meets his “Angel” Nora Anthony (Andy Allo), who is his concierge and guide that helps him adjust to his new afterlife. Over time she becomes his friend and slowly begins to develop feelings for Nathan.
