I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked A Simple Favor (I’m not a fan of Blake, at all) and I was going to rewatch it yesterday but then I remembered the ending and didn’t bother, it was so disappointing.

Well first, I feel like the little character follow up blurbs at the end were not needed and felt like they were thrown in to close up the story as if they ran out of time to do it properly. And second, I felt like the writers kind of threw together the whole scene when they confront each other and get Blake’s character to confess. IDK, I’m not an expert but I think the writers could have pulled it together a bit better.

The movie was going to end with a big dance number and Sean proposing to Stephanie so really we should count our lucky stars.

I would have preferred the book ending. I mostly just couldn't stand the acting/directing choices in the ending. It felt soooo fake to me. idk.

I expected to hate it bc I can't stand Anna & Blake's face, but actually didn't mind it except the ending & Anna's character was annoying.

Same! I went in to watching it with very low expectations, only watched it bc of peer pressure, so as the movie was going I found myself enjoying it and the ending just made me lose it.

a simple favor and searching were my favorite films of 2018 honestly lmao i had no idea what ASF was about going into it and i loved how wild and wacky it was
