It was so dumb. It might as well have said, "Fuck the previous movie, here's what's REALLY happening."

The more I read about the 3rd movie the more glad I am I never got to the cinema. I mean, I'm very sad about what happened to it but glad I didn't spend any money.

I went on a BOGO ticket day a few weeks after it came out. Somehow I managed to stay unspoiled (although I already was told I would hate very specific moments) but as soon as “the dead speak!” came onscreen, I leaned over and whispered to my boyfriend “I didn’t think it would go off the rails this quickly” 🙄

I love Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine but retconning Empire was a huge mistake that all but sunk this film. I was not happy that Rey just decided to make her last name Skywalker either because because the series should've ended the name altogether with Leia's death

Wasn't she a Skywalker and a palptine tho? Even tho they said in the film I'm still confused lol.

Rey was supposedly Palpatine's granddaughter (because Abrams can't write for shit) but never an actual Skywalker. Ben/Kylo was a Skywalker as Leia's son (who should've been the actual last Jedi imo)

she wasn't an actual Skywalker (although that was very heavily implied in the Force Awakens imo), she just took the name at the end.

They should've just made use of one of those Snoke clones, at least Rey has somewhat of a connection to him and Kylos turn to the light side would've been a smidge more believable.

Rise of Skywalker was a disaster not even five seconds into the movie, and from there it was a fast downward slide.
