I'm bored and everyone else is bored too. Here's some shows to help you pass the time!

1. What We Do In The Shadows

Genre: Comedy Horror, Mockumentary

About: Based on the 2014 movie of the same name, WWDITS is a mockumentary style show about the lives of four vampire roommates living in Staten Island. After an unexpected visit from their evil leader, the vampires are tasked with taking over America so that vampires can rule the new world.

My thoughts: This show is so fucking funny, guys. If you liked the movie, or if you just like Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clement projects in general I highly recommend you check it out.

2. Black Sails

Genre: Period Drama, Action/Adventure

About: A prequel to the novel Treasure Island, Black Sails centers on the feared pirate Captain Flint as he and his crew fight for the survival of New Providence island. To ensure the survival of piracy, he embarks on a journey to hunt for the Spanish treasure galleon Urca de Lima.

My thoughts: Honestly a summary does not do this show justice. Despite it's wonky first season, this show rises to it's full potential in its subsequent seasons. It also features some of my favorite fictional LGBT characters of all time. Black Sails is what Game of Thrones wishes it was.

3. Over The Garden Wall

Genre: Dark Fantasy, Mystery, Adventure, Dramedy

About: Two brothers find themselves lost in a strange forest called The Unknown. In order to make their way back home, the brothers must travel across the supernatural forest with the help of an irritable talking Bluebird while being chased by an ominous creature known only as The Beast.

My thoughts: Over the Garden Wall is an animated masterpiece. It's only ten episodes and each episode has ten minutes so it's pretty easy to binge-watch. This show evokes in me a feeling of melancholy that no other cartoon has managed to evoke. It's a beautiful and bittersweet little show. It reminds me of Ghibli movies like Spirited Away.

4. Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist

Genre: Musical, Dramedy

About: After a freak accident, socially awkward coder Zoey Clarke gains the ability to hear people's inner thoughts through song. With the guidance of her musically attuned neighbor Mo, she uses her ability to try and better the lives of the people around her.

My thoughts: This show can be cringy and silly sometimes, but it's got a lot of heart. It's also made me cry like five times already. But anyways I'm #teamNoOne on the love triangle.

5. Mob Psycho 100

Genre: Action, Comedy, Supernatural

About: Shigeo Kageyama (nicknamed Mob) is a shy middle-school boy and also an incredibly powerful psychic. To keep himself from losing control of his powers, he tries to shut his emotions down as much as possible. Mob works for con-mon Reigen Arataka, who he believes to be a real psychic. Despite all the fantastical things that happen around him due to his powers, Mob just wants to live a simple, normal life.

My thoughts: I don't even really watch anime that much anymore, but MP100 is a gem of a show. If you liked One Punch Man but were disappointed by it's half-assed second season, I say check out MP100. It's got some great humor, genuinely touching moments and an amazing art style.
