cate blanchett is the most compelling actor i've ever seen tbh. even a shot of her sitting there doing nothing is captivating as hell. i think she can do anything....except convey warmth lol

IA tbh, I'm not familiar with PS in motion, but I know that kind of seemingly untreatening sinister sickly sweetness in these conservative women, and Cate is just too regal to convey that. I believe Cate Blanchett can conquer America, but I'm not sure that's what her character is supposed to look like.

I mean, PS was basically an american umbridge, so the combination of faux-social feminine rectitude and a vicious desire to wield power is what Cate should be going for. i know what you mean about sickly sweetness, but the queen of these types of covens are full of steel and they show it when they want.
