While they did not go into Season 5 knowing that it would definitely will be the show’s final chapter, they wrote the Season 5 finale (airing April 1st) so it could also work as a series finale.

i've been so upset about this since last year and wished they got cancelled. so good riddance. i'm betting money that they'll either pull an attempt to bring Quentin back but the damage has been done tbh

I recently marathoned season 1-4, but I only half paid attention. So most of the time I was just saying to myself "I have no idea what's going on." (Although I'm not sure the writes did either, so I guess we're on the same page.) I also only remember like 4 characters' names.
