It is different because it wasn't Kobe alone to die on that plane crash. The other people too but mostly his daughter dying along with him added an extra layer of sensitivity to his family and so any criticism was obviously gonna be met with aggressive defense. That's why people here were a little bit more sensitive to Vanessa and her family. No one here said he wasn't a rapist or denying it regardless.

Now had Kobe been the only one to die, it would've been different. We would feel sorry for his family but people would've absolutely gone harder in the comments cause it was just him alone.

Similar to Carolina Flack, she only got some sympathies cause she was a woman and because some find the mental health struggle relatable from personal experience. Had she been a man who committed same type of assault that she did to her boyfriend.....yeah no sympathies at all.

Woody Allen on the other hand is getting no sympathies from here at all. Like I said before we will mostly be relieved for Soo-yin (even though she may or may not ever see that way) and Dylan. Sure we can understand how families might see it differently but we've been RSVP-ing him and Polanski posts for years now. Outside on ONTD is another story.
