I'm out of the loop with the french industry so this is news to me but yeah it's sad.

The American industry ain't ish either but I feel like there was at least some support here whereas the French just really love doubling down on things like this. I think she has more support from non-industry people like the protestors outside.

Adele even mentioned in her post-Cesar statement that they are made out to be puritans and revolutionaries for rightfully speaking out. Which is exactly what they'll call Americans for not being as open as they are.

I remember the stark difference on they viewed the #metoo movement vs here in the US.

Considering the recent French media reckoning of predatory coaches in figure skating it seems like there are coming down on pedophilia is only when the accusers aren’t relevant anymore. Like Polanski gets a pass because he makes art or Morgan Cipres gets a pass Because of the Olympics

Like nathalie pechalet denouncing the French coaches but because her husband is bff And works with Polanski suddenly Is like “I think everyone should make judgments for themselves.”
