honestly shocked there hasn't been a better Witches series since Charmed. i mean is it too much to ask for a Charlie's Angels kicking monsters' and men's asses with crazy magic.

Honestly, I loved Witches of East End. They went in a curious direction in the second season and I was sad when it got canceled.

I loved it too! I think S2 was...a lot, but I was still sad to lose it.

Right? I did a rewatch since it’s on Hulu and stopped and the first episode of season 2. They did such a messy jump. Gorgeous house tho. Lol

I was gonna mention Salem but that was not a Charmed-ish series lol

I thought it was really good though, even if I didn't like the series finale much.

I really enjoyed the first season of Salem and then I fell off somewhere in season 2. I can’t remember the characters name but the girl with the pixie cut ended up driving me insane.

I thought S3 was fairly strong (finale aside) but yeah, Mercy (the girl with the pixie haircut) stays the worst lmao

I've been waiting for a decent adaption of the Mayfair Witches for YEARS. It'll never happen while batshit Anne is alive though.

I was hopeful for the new Charmed series but that took a nose dive really fast. I want powerful, vengeful witches who take no shit, but who also love the Earth and kind people and watch out if you harm either.

Oooo how did it take a nosedive? You can spoil me, it's okay

So, it wasn't bad, but it was very on the nose with the dialogue and issues examined in the show. It was very #MeToo, and while that's not a bad thing, it wasn't subtle and the entire show felt more like a heavy-handed episode of Saved by the Bell. The #metoo messages definitely could have been written better. Plus, the acting was obvious. But at the very least, it was better than the train wreck that is Sabrina.
