Summary of conversation [Spoiler (click to open)] A shy and solitary person but then when she’s on stage, she comes out of her shell. Needs a lot of alone time. Tomboy as a child, shows photo. Sunny mentions Red Dress Fashion Show. Talks about 2003 Super Bowl show. Asks about JLo and Shakira. Says nice things about them both. Ana would be in a fig leaf and two coconuts if she looked like JLo. ST felt they were professional, and awesome. Sunny liked the Puerto Rico flag, thought her mom might lose her voice. Post Malone is a fan, plays clip. Halsey is dressing like her in videos. ST is flattered, has a diverse audience. Lots have grown up with her. Extending Vegas residency. 25th anniversary of one her Grammy award winning albums. Talks about her show. High energy.
Moving into acting. Talks about I Still Believe which is the story about Christian music singer Jeremy Camp who married his first wife knowing she was gravely ill, ST plays Jeremy’s mom. Plays clip. Talks about the role and character. Met the family, caught up in the emotion. Talks about losing her voice, didn’t know if she’d sing again. Turns out she had Lyme Disease. Explains how it can affect you, that she made the most of a bad situation.
T45 kicked off his post-impeachment tour with the National Prayer Breakfast in which he was contrite and apologetic went off the crazy train rails like he always does, assailing all his rivals, that they should pay for what they did to him and his family, general cretin-like behavior that is very Christian-like. Then had a WH press conference in which he was also lying and gaslighting and insulting. Plays clip. Panel wonders what new chapter will this be. Drags Susan Collins. Pulled Global Entry from NY. He’ll go on a revenge tour, target those who testified against him. Ana thought yesterday was insanity. Compares T45 questioning Romney’s faith while he is Cheater-In-Chief. Then the press conference, where Russiapublicans wanted them to say his name. Plays clip. Talks about nepotism, insults Hunter for being a lower while Ivanka would’ve made a fortune. Ana has a rant.
Brings up James Carville, who doesn’t think the candidates are good enough to beat T45. Buttigieg did fine but he’s not resonating with most of middle America. Joy wants to see more passion from Biden, disappointed that he hasn’t spoken up more about the attacks on his son.
T45 is gloating over his acquittal, while the Democratic candidates are still wtf @ Iowa. Plays clip with James Carville. Dems win arguments but we don’t win elections. He’s 75, a political genius, and he’s sounding the alarms. Sunny talks about the tent of Dems being much larger, much more diverse, and have to appeal to a wide variety from centrists to progressives. But Russiapublicans only have to appeal to white racist males. Ana talks about campaigns re-booting. Mentions Biden town hall where he talks about his stutter, people identify and like that version, it’s why Buttigieg has surged because he’s engaging with constituents. Joy has her eye on Bloomberg who is spending major money in Super Tuesday states. Thinks center right will vote for Bloomberg but not someone too far left like Warren.
JLo and ARod are both inviting their ex-es to their wedding. Jokes about Marc Anthony being free entertainment. In all seriousness, JLo and Marc try to stay civilized in raising their twins. More jokes about not wanting anyone at your wedding if they’ve seen you naked.
Hot Topic That Don’t Impress Me Much
Remember when Shania Twain said she would’ve voted for TRE45ON
Source It is not the only way in which she expresses her conservatism. If she had been able to vote in the US election, she would have plumped for Donald Trump, she says. “I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bullshit. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”
Shania Twain marrying her best friend's ex husband after her husband and best friend had an affair is some count of monte cristo level shit - vince (@vints) August 17, 2017
Good times.
