Jennifer Tilly, who is Alexandra Grant's longtime friend, spoke to Page Six about the couple at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection on Wednesday night.
“I remember a couple of years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Grant] said, ‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend,’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?' She was so cool I thought she was a lesbian.” Tilly said of the couple, who made their red carpet debut in November.
She also called the attention around Keanu and his girlfriend "astonishing" before noting they had a lot in common, including how lowkey they both were.
She added while Keanu Reeves is a "great guy," he's actually the lucky one in the relationship.
