Ugh, Phoebe! I was in the dark about this interview until some wonderful users brought it up in the comments of Part 1. Like, I still think the show is funny, but... Whew, mama!

It is absolutely mental that her dad chucked his job and moved their entire family to a whole other continent because his EIGHT YEAR OLD wanted to act. Like, legit delusional wtf territory.

Oh so at least he had some other business that brought him to the US in the first place? That's slightly better, but then it turns out he moved the family all the way across the continent because. ...he thought kids have lots of parts in movies that aren't Disney stuff? Still batshit but classic stage parent. I know Millie has older siblings, I thought it was crazy he carted them all the way across the country for her career too - if her sister's left, that's only normal for a young adult and way healthier than being sidelined for your tween sis's acting career.

Reports around the time the season 3 pay was renegotiated says Millie was getting paid $250k or 300k per episode, on par with Winona and David Harbour. Plus she had endorsement deals with Calvin Klein and Converse for a couple of years, those probably paid too.

Yep, unfortunately that was the case with Millie's dad. I mean... oh boy. Also, Millie's talent manager should have never suggested that to her parents to begin with, move to L.A. She kinda gave them false hopes. All these adults in Millie's life... I have no words. I want her to be fine. I feel so bad for her older sis, honestly. I believe she's re-entered the family, but I can imagine how neglected and stressed out she felt with her dad. Poor thing. She deserved better - all of the kids. I hope she's okay now. :(

Wow, that's a decent paycheck. Holy shit! I forgot to look into what the pay for the ST cast is in general, so thanks for that info. Even in the world of TV, that's a stable income. Considering American actors too (or actors that work exclusively in the US) receive residuals unlike the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. That may annually increase, although I'm not familiar how Netflix/streaming affects paychecks now opposed to the pre-streaming days.
