Kesha talks dream collaborations, 'High Road' and more in Reddit AMA

Ahead of the release of her fourth studio album High Road on Friday, Kesha logged on to Reddit and encouraged her Animals to ask her anything.

• On lessons learned making High Road: "I don't have to confine my art into a box or specific genre and that's OK 'cause my taste isn't confined to one specific box or genre... I really allowed myself to go to the studio every day and write songs about how how I felt that day. [...] I also realized that my sense of humor is an important part of [my] music."

• On album track "Kinky" (feat. Ke$ha*): "I really want to reclaim all sides of my voice on this album and embrace where I'm at and everything I've gone through, and that includes Ke$ha. She was how I first got introduced to this world and how I met so many of my fans and also I'm kinda taking the piss of the fact that I have two names."

• On her dream collaborators: "...Mick Jagger, David Byrne, and I have a long list of women in pop right now. I would love to collab[orate] with Billie Eilish, or Lizzo would be a dream."

* Following a 2014 stint in a rehabilitation center, Kesha dropped the dollar sign from her stage name. She would later reveal that this was part of "let[ting] go of [her] facade about being a girl who didn't care," adding that it had been "total bullshit."
