I'm surprised by the singles she's put out so far (minus Resentment which is so fucking good). It just seems like she's going backwards? I like Rainbow soooo much and it was still mostly party music but with more feeling. This is kind of going back to the soulless Ke$ha era that I thought she hated.

Regardless, I support her. If she's having fun, then I'm happy.

Honestly, I think a lot of it is label politics. She got shelved from 2013-2017 because the label wasn't supportive of her new sound / the lawsuit. I think she's just trying to make music she thinks the label wants that's kinda mixed with the feel of Rainbow. I'm nervous that if this album flops the label will shelve her again and she'll be stuck with them for another 10 years when she is only 1 album away from finishing her obligations.

these are basically my feelings verbatim. i LOVE rainbow and still listen to it a lot, and the song in this post (which tbh i only listened to a little of because i'm working) sounds like old-school, dollar-sign ke$ha but not even as good. i worry about her and i just wish and hope for her to be in a good place where she's making the music she wants to make, for herself. like, i don't think this song is for me, but i hope it's for her

i agree with all of this, except that i enjoyed dollar-sign era too and this, like you said, is not as good.
