Because Catwoman and Ivy would have 100% overshadowed Harley and they couldn't have that rme

It's the same reason Barbara isn't in this, because they know that everyone would instantly care about her more than Harley the second she was announced.

I think it's more because WB has other plans for those characters, like Catwoman being in the new Reeves Batman movie or Babs with the planned Batgirl movie that's been in the works for a while.

They are so afraid of letting Bruce be a dad! Movie Batman is always a loner when comics Bruce has like 10 kids and a pet cow.

There were times when he tried being better, but I thought Bruce was a pretty crappy father figure to Cass and Steph in the comics (pre-New 52, at least).

Like the last issue of Puckett's run had a parallel between Cass's relationship with David Cain and Bruce, and the art prodigy whose father was a criminal who loved her and whose mother only cared about using her for her talents.

Bruce is a bad father most of the time, but the point is that he is a father. It's a huge part of his character that gets ignored.

A lighter Batfam series is all I want tbh. The BTAS universe has a bit of this going on with some of the Robin episodes (and before they decided to ship Bruce and Babs =_=) and I've always wanted a version where all the other Batkids were around. Young Justice also has a tiny bit of dad!Bruce with Dick and a side of Tim - it wasn't much, but it was nice to see.
