I have an Alamo Drafthouse Season Pass and it's only a 5 screen theater, so as of now I have seen everything that's playing there (1917, Uncut Gems, Star Wars, Little Women) but starting tomorrow they're playing Color Out of Space. I saw the preview for that before 1917 and it looks WAY too scary for my weak ass, but it's also getting great reviews so maybe I'll see it at some point.

lol, I had this exact same dilemma with Alamo and that movie, but it just looks too weird even for me. I saw Mandy at Alamo because ~Film Twitter sort of pressured me into it, and I really did not dig it. I've learned my lesson!

I saw the trailer before 1917 and was intrigued but also terrified. I can handle a lot of horror but something about this one just seems like it'll fuck me up.

I love my Alamo pass but I wish they'd switch out the movies a little more often! They clearly need to coordinate with me/us and what I've/we've seen.

They really need to! Especially at this time of year. They took FOREVER to update the schedule this week and I was losing my marbles. D:

AGREED. I got "approved" for my pass in October and was stoked since Oscar season was just gearing up, but understandably they've also been showing a lot of movies that have consistently been sold out (Parasite, Knives Out) so there hasn't been as much turnover in what they're showing. Still, it's helped me see the majority of the Best Picture nominees this year; the only one I haven't seen is Joker and I am kind of dreading it.

The annoying discourse around it definitely soured me on it somewhat, but I still think it's worth seeing. Joaquin's performance is legit great. I'm still gonna pretend he's winning the Oscar for other stuff, but still. imo.

Yeah I was SO annoyed by Todd Phillips during the press tour that I didn't exactly run out to see it, and I'm also just still such a fan of Heath's performance and am not sure how I'll feel Joaquin did in comparison (though I know I shouldn't compare them since they're such wildly different movies and of course different actors). But I'll probably watch it sometime this weekend.
