It goes without saying that, as adults, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston can (and should) do whatever they please. But here is why the rest of us may want to think twice about rooting for a reunion. https://t.co/3hSlnllz4w

Ater the encounter at the SAG Awards last week, between Jen and Brad,it reignited the never-dying flame this couple has had on the public for the last 22 years. Even know, 15 years after their 2005 split, people and tabloids have been dissecting their relationship for more than the time they were actually together.

But the idea of them as a couple is hard to resist, when they first matched up in 1998, she was on the must-see TV show and he was and still is consolidated as an A-list movie star.

So seeing interact with each other again, allowed people on social media or otherwise, to experience the visual of two familiar individuals who used to be in love with each other and perhaps a sparkle when they looked at each other, making the freeze-frame of Aniston with her back turned to Pitt instantly famous and fueling the collective fires of people rooting for the two exes.

The potent 90's/00's nostalgia is also a factor in making people interested in this relationship, and the fact that both parties are divorced from their respective partners -Justin Theroux and Angelina Jolie-

But despite the heightened emotions from the public, many selectively forgot the couple's sordid history, like the overlap between the official end of Pitt's marriage and the beginning of his romance with Jolie, as confirmed by Jolie to Vogue in 2007, or the domestic bliss themed W Magazine's shoot in 2005 before the divorce was even finalized, and with many people also thinking that Aniston has been defined by this relationship for way too long already.

People may never stop reading way to much Jen and Brad's interactions but, citing that famous SAG photo again, the best part of it is the fact that Aniston isn't looking back.
