I thought I was the only one who found the book underwhelming. I barely finished it. I feel like the sparse prose may be improved by some good acting.

i loved the book tbh. it was beautifully written and engrossing. i actually liked it better than her first book, but i also read the first book afterward, so i suspect that's why lol

It's a great book. I highly recommend it.

I think the TV show is going to add a lot of interesting factors (one of the obvious things is Kerry Washington's character was white in the books. Her character being black is going to add more layers to explore.)

It's fine - it was overhyped, which is why I felt a little let down. It's definitely a fast, entertaining read though.

its a lot of fluff that amounts to absolutely nothing that isnt revealed on the first couple of pages

It was alright. Her first book, Everything I Never Told You, is better.
