Universal's 1917 is doing big numbers after expanding to a wide release at the box office this week, making $36.5 million, which was on the high end of estimates going into the weekend. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker fell to second place with $15 million, with Jumanji: The Next Level right on its tail with $14 million. Just Mercy and Like a Boss each brought in 10 million, the former in its first week of wide release and the latter in its first weekend at the box office. Little Women made $7.6 million, which topped new release Underwater's underwhelming $7 million haul.
