Adam Pally says a “Happy Endings” revival is still possible: “Everybody wants to do it”

It feels like every single year since its cancellation in 2013, an article or interview appears where a Happy Endings revival just might happen. Here’s one for 2020, courtesy of Happy Endings actor Adam Pally who played the loveable gay slob known as Max.

While promoting his new NBC show Indebted, Pally told The Hollywood Reporter: “I don't want to get anybody’s hopes up but I know that everybody wants to do it. Right now, they’re trying to find a way to make that happen because there’s a lot of moving parts. If we were to do it, I think David [Caspe, the creator] would want to do it his way.”

“It was a bad time,” Pally added of the television climate when Happy Endings was cancelled by ABC. “We came out at the time that there were like three other shows about single people dating. It was a tough launch. But I wouldn’t want it any other way than the way it is because it’s like a club.”

On how he felt about punching Baby Yoda on The Mandalorian: “As a human, I don’t care; it’s not a real baby nor a thing, so I’m fine with it!”
